Description:

#4 - Italian labelled violin NERO AIODANTE, Repaired in Ohio, USA in 1930 READ!

This violin is in a heavily used condition. There are photos for your appreciation where you can see all the good and bad things of this instrument, feel free to ask any question.

The violin is lined and blocked, with no open cracks, all cracks are repaired, solid and stable.

The violin has several repaired cracks in the top plate, including sound bar crack (upper side only) and around the bridge areas, you can check the very last picture taken from the end pin hole (yes, I’ve learned how to shot this kind of pic. :-))

There are a few places missing a minor portion of wood, two restored in the top plate edges, 1 beside fingerboard and 1 beside the saddle right side, well pictured that doesn’t affect the sound or playability. check pics for details.

The neck is thin and easy to hold and play, and there are signs of an old repair on the back of the violin where the neck joints with the body, again, please check pics for details.

Pictures speak by themselves, please consider them as part of the description.

Sounds loud and balanced in all the registers but not at its full potential, needs a professional setup.

The label says:

NERO AIODANTE

fecit  Asti anno Domini 18??

Repair label: written by pencil inside says: Repaired by Chris M. Kramberger, Akron, in Ohio, 1930, see photos for details.
